Lol! That's the same situation here! If Anubis refuses to give something up he gets yelled (hissed) at. But I don't get it though. If princess is the alpha the how come Anubis likes to mess with her (bopping her head, pouncing on her, chasing her)? Usually when he does this she hisses and gives a "warning" (she raises her paw at him but doesn't swat unless he keeps picking on her). Is it because he's still a baby (7 months old) so he's still in his kitten stages? I never see him actually trying to fight, it's more like play because he chirps whenever he's playing.No. It's normal. There is always a pecking order in a multi cat household with one being the alpha. It's very common for a female to be alpha. My Lilith is alpha in our house. She's also the smallest of our 3 cats. She'll "allow" the others on the bed but she has to be closest to me or they will get hissed at, slapped or both.
