Yep recently turned 24! I've been needing hip replacement surgery since I was 14 but they keep pushing it back. And my knees need a stand correction because they're turned too far inwards but they keep saying they need to do the hips first but they won't lolThat's major surgery! I'm so sorry ,I'm sure they keep pushing it as they are because of your age and considering when you'll likely need to replace the prosthetic..... I recently had a hip replaced but at my age it is likely to outlast me-( roughly 20yrs ) .Years ago a dear friend of mine was about your age when it got so bad she was confined to a wheelchair because insurance wouldn't cover the procedure until age 50!!!!I suppose they figured they'd be paying 3 times for one in their 20s vs one time on someone past 50?Simply becsuse it's considered " elective surgery "..... if you ask me I'd say it's a medical necessity,I do hope it's different now or in your Country- I'll pray you can get it done sooner than laterYep recently turned 24! Wow it's insane that it's not covered by insurance! Here almost everything is covered by insurance.I'm so sorry ,I'm sure they keep pushing it as they are because of your age and considering when you'll likely need to replace the prosthetic..... Yes,now that was over 20yrs ago though- ins told her it was not covered until age 50..... I don't believe it's that way anymore,not really sure but it's still considered an elective surgery( go figure?)
