No one can say for sure without assessing his body condition. Cats have individual metabolisms and activity levels. 
If you look at the chart and assess your cat, does he have hips? Can you feel his ribs easily? Does he have a small pouch on his tummy but not too much?
If yes to all those then he is eating the right amount!
