This is my parents' cat this summer -
He has boots and a lightly fluffy head. The cats look happy to have that hair off, but boy are they hilarious looking!!!
Clearly, she's mad at you for leaving! 😅 I had a cat who would do that when she was mad about a situation. How about the litter boxes? Get an additional? Get a brand new one? Just to rule that out. Maybe change litter texture? I know, if she's truly just mad at you, none of this would help, but...
I agree, some additional body pictures of them would be helpful. I don't know if I agree about kittens should eat as much as they want. Mine (under 1 yr) was getting pretty paunchy! She gets less now and she's doing great. Always easier to give more food if looking too slim than putting a...
Oh, you have induction? That's very interesting... had thought about that... I'm surprised no one has said they use ceramic. I thought Caraway was super popular.
My husband is a human nurse and he said that one isn't supposed to be crushed, but recommends checking the drug instructions. Are you not able to get your cat to take pills?
And don't stress if you can't engage him. Cats do their own thing. Of course, that also means after you quit is when he'll decide he wants to play. 😄 My cats have ways to let me know they want to play without being loud or obnoxious.
I've had some cats who randomly do an "attack" but again, I...
You could start with cloth wiping. When mine get a bit filthy, I use a damp cloth. It isn't immediate or as thorough as a bath, but if you do it more than once it can help. Also, sometimes having a little moisture on the fur gets the cat to self-bathe.
Wow! Again, this is wonderful that you play like this with him and are so invested. You probably have tried, but a laser pointer? When he bites and you yelp, does he think it's a game when you pull your arm away? Does he hate the volume/sound you're making? I feel like the biting is the main...
What part of the play seems to excite him the most? Does he like to hunt/stalk/pounce? So does the toy have to "pause" so he can attack? Or does he like it if the "lure" goes behind something so it's partially obscured? Or does he just go all out with no real rhyme or reason?
Sorry, my reply won't be exactly for your request, but wanted to offer a thought. I also, hate wearing full on foundation and prefer something light that just helps even things out. I use a liquid foundation but apply it with a foundation brush so I can put it on in thin layers to the areas I...
Well, first, I think you ARE the right owner. The fact that you are willing to play with him, find toys he likes, and that you are paying attention to his ways of communicating... That's wonderful. Others could just write him off as "too much" and give up. Often times, cats+people play is some...
This resonates. One of my babies - looking back, he had lost a little weight. Then I noticed he was in the litter box a lot. Made him a vet appt thinking it was a UTI or something. No, cancer. He was only 10.
Cats hide so much and sometimes these little changes - your brain thinks it's probably...
You said you track him with an AirTag already? My first guess is that maybe he's getting something nice at the other house - special type of pets, a treat perhaps or just a good place to hang. If I had an outdoor cat, I'd AirTag him for sure. All sorts of things can happen to an outdoor cat and...
I'd be cautious - especially if mom has been gone a while. Take it slow and see what reaction is. There is a chance she might not want much to do with the kittens.
No judgement here... I am currently looking at switching from non-stick cookware to stainless steel cookware. I loved my Kirkland hard anodized set - have had it for years. It's just getting to be time and husband wants to try to cut back on the chemicals. Anyone use a stainless set that they...
