Hi! We’ve recently rehomed a cat not knowing she is currently pregnant. She’s now towards the end of her pregnancy. As we were never told that there was a possibility of her coming across a Tom cat, we just assumed she was gaining weight. We soon noticed that she was only gaining weight in her belly, and by the time we called the vets, we were advised to not bring her in unless there was an issue as it can cause a lot of stre

I was wondering if it was worth taking her to the vets however.

We’ve recently noticed something on her anus, and were wondering if it’s related to pregnancy because her belly has gotten bigger and she may be struggling to clean herself, or if there’s a more serious medical issue going on. We’ve also noticed a slight poopy smell, which doesn’t seem to come from her fur?
This has only just popped up in the last day or two.
Any help would be much appreciated!

She’s eating, drinking fine. Also using the litter tray fine too.
She’s just gone a little more tired - which we assumed was due to being nearly at the end of her pregnancy.
When we touch her belly to feel around she does not seem like she’s in pain. Comfortable coming up to us for affection etc.

If she's pregnant then she needs to see a vet IMO just to check everything is ok.
From the photos it looks like poop that she cant clean herself. Try putting a dab of Vaseline using a cotton bud or cotton wool, this will soften it and makes it easier to wipe off with a damp cloth.
