Just thought about this hairball puking business and only realized now that not one of our cats ever puked a hairball! Alls I can think is that they were indoor/outdoor so maybe did their business outside? Or nibbled extra outdoor roughage that made it go down not up? Lord knows they would cough...

I avoid it as much as possible b/c the only stylist around is such a freakin nosy parker….when my hair and I get too feral I hold my nose & take the plunge.

I hear you: I’m in the same boat. 3 year waiting list at the only local clinic left, so I do TNR work instead now. I live vicariously through chance meetings with bookstore cats, glimpses of ferals, neighborhood cats. Nobody should go to a dirty clinic! I do wonder if anyone has tried with...

Wow that’s a road trip all right. Too bad there’s not a nearer vet— sometimes there are ones that do on the road house calls. I’ve never had a cat that had 3rd eyelid showing w/out something to think about but since he has gone through so many recent changes why not give him a break if you can...

I can’t see his 3rd eye in either photo, but definitely it’s always a good idea to keep an ‘eye’ on it…not necessarily a thing to be overly concerned about—- hopefully that will eventually go away. That’s such good news they are all getting along!! What a wonderful saga this is!

I think all of these answers are correct….I also think sometimes ours is not to reason why! More of a scientific: “What happens if I do this?” kind of a thing. Like a physics experiment.

Wow, good on you! Things sound very evolved vet wise across the pond. That’s extremely kind, thinking about black cats, as they are so often the ones to be overlooked.

I’ve never had 2 cats at the same time, except when Grandad’s elderly cat came and that worked out fine. My only advice is— I don’t know what vets cost in the UK but here in the US they cost a bundle, so make sure you have pet insurance!

I saw this truck while driving down the freeway: it was fantastic! For one second when it turned it looked as if there was a gigantic mom cat carefully crossing through multi lane traffic! I love cats in logos.
