Fed him again. This time he didn't even fight it so hard. His bed is right next to mine.

He's still hanging on. Still feeding him every two hours, he fights it sometimes and sometimes doesn't.

This is one tough kitten. He's still holding on. Looks horrible, like he's starving even though I'm making him eat.

I found a recipe for homemade pedialyte for kittens.water, pinch of salt, pinch of baking soda and three teaspoons of sugar. Could I mix his formula up with that for water?

Its better you use something which contains glucose sugar, instead of common sugar.

Glucose sugar prober is best, but white caro syrup, or even honey, works too.

This goes directly into blood, doesn not need processing.

The original receipt is 2-3 soupspoons in 1 litre of water,

and 1,5 tea spoon salt

and a pinch of baking soda if you have

One cup is this dealt in four...

yes, if we say there are 4-5 tea spoons in one soup spoons, sot it will be 2-3 tea spoons in one cup of water.

Which sounds logical, it becomes sweet but not very sweet.

The same with salt, it shall be barely salt, but you will notice its salty.

Mixed kayro syrup water with his formula, got 3 mls in him again. He still fights it some, and just lays there some. When I wipe him he doesn't fight much any more. We are still going though! Cried it out some this morning. But fighting still!

Maybe it's from switching from Hartz to PetAg. Hope it runs its course, and he's getting pedialyte mixed in already.

Hang in there! We are rooting for you two!

Give him some pedialyte if you want to give him more fluids, or alternatively, use the pedialyte to dilute the kmr powder instead of common water.

If you can  get the so called mineral salt, with several different salts, is even better against  diarrhea than the usual  common kitchen salt against diarrhea.

Or you can use mineral water as the base to get salts.  Let the gas out, and  Dilute it somewhat with common water, add caro syrup, and you do have a nice home made pedialyte.  The stopper of diarrheas, the man and kitten savior.

I am so glad he is still with us!!

While the odds are not in his favor, it by no means says he will not pull through, it's undetermined, no way to predict, but know you are giving him the best chance possible.

I would love to be able to rule out possible pneumonia, as this is a common reason a baby this age who is bottle fed won't live.

If you hold him up to your ear, it must be dead silent around you of course, but listen to him breath, it will be ever so small, but relax and concentrate, even lay down, and lay him right up against your ear, with your head and him on a pillow, as it might help amplify his breathing.

Do you hear anything at all? A tiny crackle, pop, click, wheeze, ANYTHING?
