I don't know if it helps or makes much sense but when I play Connections and get a missed guess I don't keep trying because then I usually am just on the wrong idea ( category)so I skip over to something completely different because I was always using up all my tries on one thing I was stuck on trying to get-since I don't do that anymore I've done much better..... I notice your tries are used up on one category as well,exactly what I used to do ,kwim? rubysmama brought it to my attention one day saying she was " stuck" on one category- I used to never make the Connections before she said that & it helped me to not do that
