I'm totally fine with maintaining the spreadsheet. I guess what I was wondering, is if doing the competition might be keeping other members from posting their daily Wordle scores. I mean, maybe the novelty wore off and they just all quit playing, but I just wouldn't want our thread to feel exclusive, or even intimating. Probably me doing my worrier / overthinking thing again.

I see your point now. I somewhat feel competative and "oh I'm stupid" with game things as part of human nature at times- but it doesn't keep me from playing and posting (I just say "oh I'm old" ) ; I do save my Wordle scores now that I found out how to do it, maybe since we're all fine either way do no spreadsheet.

I find it hard to keep track of what everyone has done, so I like seeing the totals at the end of each week. It’s just a fun marker for me whether my score is lowest or not. We don’t cackle and gloat when we “win,” so I would hope that anyone else who wants to participate wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.

It's also the lowest score for the week. Congrats on another win!

I see your point now. Hmmm... maybe that's an idea. Still compete, but not bother posting the spreadsheet. But then as a information junkie, I love keeping track of all the scores.

I also think it's fun. And we don't really make a big deal out of the wins. Maybe see how the rest of the year goes, and see if some returnees or newbies join in in 2023. I'm probably overthinking and worrying for nothing. I just want everyone to have fun.
