We live in the woods. We have outside kitties that have made us theirs. How can we control the wood ticks that seem to gravitate to them? And...do cats get Lyme's disease? Is there a powder or spray that works? I would hate to put collars on them because the collar could get snagged on something in the woods. Thanks for any help.

Frontline will kill ticks, Advantage does not. Your cats should if you use this application, also be checked daily for ticks in the off chance the application is not strong enough to kill them.

there are a lot of sprays/collars out there but for the most part they don't work.

A few do, frontline and advantage, but I don't know if they work for exactly everything you are looking for. Best option is to ask a local vet what will get rid of it, don't waist your money on something you find in a grocery store.
