Hi, I've got a 5 year cat who has had around 8 litters (two per year max after the age of one). The last litter she had she lost during pregnancy (around October) and hasn't been in season since. She has 'silent heats' which makes it difficult to tell when she's in heat so we usually know when she starts spraying as she's very friendly anyway. I have taken her to her stud the past two times when I've thought she may be in heat but to no avail - he's not interested in her although they have had a successful litter together previously. I also have another un-neutered male (her son who is 10 months old) in the house who is interested in my other female un-neutered cat (unrelated) but not her. The last time I took her to the stud (last weekend) was because she started peeing in my room but like I say, the stud wasn't interested in her. I've taken Hazel to the vet who has scanned her and ruled out closed pyometra but has given us some meds for a UTI. Other than that she's stumped as to why she hasn't bred again and has suggested I get advice from other breeders on a forum...so here I am...any ideas??
