Hello everyone,

I noticed white spots in my cats poop today, googled it and all the results say it is worms but my cat is getting her worm and flea treatment always on time. She is 100% indoor cat and never goes out. We are too careful about this issue never enter the house with our shoes, always wash our hands when we come home before touching her. Considering all precautions and regular deworming, I am surprised. Does anyone have an idea what these spots are? Can it be from her food?

Sorry for the poop pic!

What does she normally eat?

Has she been eating anything different than usual?

Do you think that there's a possibility that she could have gotten into something she shouldn't have?

I don't think it's worms. I think it's something she ate.

Thank you for your reply. Its her usual kibble nothing different. I just noticed because this part of poop was outside of litterbox (stuck to her fur and dropped). maybe should i change her food?

Until you can figure out more about what those white spots are, I wouldn't start trying to change things up. All that poop was outside her litter box and came from it being stuck to her? Does she normally have stools loose enough to stick to her? If not, there could be a correlation between the spots and why she is having looser stool. Not a fun task, but you probably should be checking her stool, and for those spots in her next few BMs. It is possible they are there all the time and you just now noticed it because the stool was outside her box.

It is also possible the ingredients or processing routines in her regular kibble have changed, and you wouldn't necessarily know that. But, you could at least check the bag for the ingredients listed and see if that would give you any clue.
