One of my cats gave birth to a kitten this morning and I need some advice on possibly having to syringe feed the baby. This is her first(and last)time and she’s doing well with cuddling and cleaning but she won’t sit still long enough for the baby to feed. This has been going on for the past few hours and I’m really worried the baby won’t survive because she won’t stay with it. How long should I wait until I should step in and start syringe feeding it? I’ve successfully bottle fed litters that were only 2 days old before, but not this young. Also, she keeps on sitting on the baby and I keep having to move her off it, so now I’m nervous to leave her alone with it. What should I do?
