If it’s much longer I’ll be pretty worried they are each the size of my hand

Thank you!! She’s been in labour for 2 hours and there’s five out, she’s not pushing anymore but I’m pretty sure there’s still one in there

Are they all latching and nursing well?

If she has another kitten still to deliver she will birth it when she is ready to. Sometimes it seems there’s another when there’s not because the uterus is enlarged and lumpy after giving birth until it shrinks back to size.

Yeah they’ve all latched on well, she’s even got a couple to go to the toilet she’s been awesome. She’s wanted me right next to her for the past 5 hours so I’ve been next to her and keeping a close eye. Yeah I can feel a lump but I’m just leaving her be unless she shows signs of being distressed

Is she too warm? The babies need to be warm but does she need to be able to move off to where she's a little cooler?

The panting is not a good sign. Though nursing is hard work, panting is often a sign of low calcium. This can be dangerous!

Please give her a dish or two a day of kitten formula to drink. Yogurt, cheese, and eggs are also calcium rich. See that she gets calcium right away, or she may need a calcium shot from the vet.

So I gave her milk straight away and she got that down very quickly and she was fine after that. I’ve been giving her milk the past 24 hours but I guess it wasn’t quite enough now she is fine thanks guys 😊

When you say milk, do you mean cow’s milk or kitten formula? Cats are lactose intolerant and cow’s milk will cause diarrhea. Get goat’s milk or formula!

Good she is better now though!
