It's 21F and feels like -4F here now. I don't know how much snow we got. It's quite a bit but not blizzard amounts. The schools here in Gahanna are closed today, this was supposed to be the first day back after winter break.

Early morning here and it's already heating up. It rained last night until the early hours and everything is still damp, which just adds to the mugginess

Columbus only got 5 inches. A little further south got 8 to 9 inches. The really bitter cold comes in now.

For once we lucked out and the snow went south, we only got 1 - 1 1/2". Unfortunately I saw on the news that the central to southern part of the state had a 40 car pile up. It was sleeting when I went to the gym but when I left my car windows were a sheet of ice.

We got about 2" of fluffy snow and it is currently 29F but with 10-20 MPH winds so it feels much colder.

I shoveled a path to the bird feeders (100 feet) as they needed refilling and then a path from the woods to the patio (80 feet) so the ferals can get to the cat feeder and water bowl easier.

I really need to get a pair of insulated winter boots this year but just too frustrated by the selection in the stores.

Was supposed to get another medication ( compounded ) for Izzy eye delivered today. I paid for overnight vs 2-3 days delivery because I was concerned not only about her eye but weather delays. Currently the delivery is delayed until tomorrow.

Dropped suddenly last night down here too- 56F,I'm ready to put the heat on,my hands feel like ice and I'm wearing long pants,socks and a knit sweater with a sweater jacket over it!!!!

Just put on a few more layers and you'll be fine. One big advantage is going grocery shopping and not having to worry your frozen food will melt before you get home.

Which is precisely why I take several ice pack with me here in the summer. Your stuff will be melted and if you bought something like clams they would be no good by the times you got home. I actually take ice packs and a cooler into the store with me during hot temperatures.
