What's the Weather and Temperature like where you live ? - 2024

We had minor snow cover last night and the wind was just blowing it all around. It was 20F and sunny when I went to the dentist at noon for semi-annual teeth cleaning and dang it's cold with the wind blowing. The news said with the wind chill it's around 8F.
Only the 1 black cat is using the heated house today since I moved it last week.

My neighbor has at least 6 heated houses outside, we are expecting temps in the 20s next few nights so really hard on them

Well weather is crazy in Texas. Gets chilly then feels like spring in the afternoon
When we moved here from NY and cold cold temps plus five feet of snow people in town here were walking around in in heavy sweaters plus down coats. I was was definitely seriously? It was 65 degrees. I was wearing a light sweatshirt and it felt positively toasty. Even in down coats people looked like they were freezing. Being here now I feel the cold more, not wearing a down coat cold but cold. Back then I was used to bundling in teens and temps below 0. Part of it was just what your body is used to. A couple of years ago we got to 3 below 0 and the power went out for 24 hours.Thankfully that does not happen often.You're kidding right? Please tell me you're kidding.

It's crazy though I know, I had my jalousy window open tonight and woke up shivering - I expected it dropped down into the 50's which may as well be subzero for a Floridian! But it's 70F- my blood mustve turned to water
I know it sounds ridiculous but we're used to 90's when it in the 80's it's a nice but that's year round,no seasonal changes to speak of- so you go to sleep with the temp control set for somethimg comfy and suddenly it drops to 56F- just not used to it anymore and it FEELS coldYou're kidding right? Please tell me you're kidding.

yesterday my cousin asked me what month it was in 2012 when my Dad passed ( in NYC) I said it had to be December because I was frozen and borrowed my cousins wool coat...... it was April,no one was cold,it wasn't freezing

A house my parents owned was near water so sometimes it would be hot when you went to sleep then I would pull all the covers on and finally get up and close the jalousie windows and crawl back under a pile of covers.You're so sweet

Crazy enough here it was 26 when I got up this morning. Really, just my luck. I have to take Izzy to the vet. So warm vehicle up well and put a blanket over her carrier.Vet tried her on another round of pred, but now her left eye is dripping water.Also I am finding she is having attacks shortly after I do her maintenance inhaler which indicates to me that for some reason it is not effective.Could be URI ( she has a history ) but not sneezing much, even her teeth. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it and I get her back on track.
Do not like freezing rain. Have had it bring down trees, wires and there power outages.We were without power for a week once due to some snow and a lot of freezing rain. On April 1st no less!

39F with dense, thick fog - glad I'm not driving anywhere until this afternoon.
Going for 41C today, what an abomination. Thank goodness it's dropping tomorrow! I'm staying inside with the aircon. i hate to think what my car would be like (no garage, it's parked in an outdoor area).

Yeah, it's gross. Probably won't be steamy, more likely dry - I'm on the south coast, it's not a humid part of the country, generally. More like walking into an oven! There's a total fire ban and extreme fire danger warning out for today. Fingers crossed the predicted rain arrives tonight.Yikescatloverfromwayback that is 105.8 fahrenheit.Way, way to hot and steamy.
