Apparently this is going to be a far reaching "mammoth" storm...

Oh, it’s a brutal 54f here with clear skies. Sunny during the day reaching 70f and dropping down to this 50s at night.
I guess this is why people can tiny rooms for $1,000.00 + a month here.

Yes, it's mammoth. They are calling it a "bomb cyclone." It's supposed to go down to -7 F tomorrow night here with a high of 1 degree the next day. The grocery store was jammed today.

The temp isn't going to get bad for us...on Sat, (the coldest day in the forecast) they're calling for -9C (48F) with a wind chill of -17C (63F)...that's nothing for our winters...of course things can change quite quickly so if the winds pickup during the storm it could feel way colder...
We're also lucky that we're not supposed to get the rain/freezing rain that the more southern areas are expected to get.
Right now, it's overcast, no winds to speak of, and -9C. It's going to snow a bit throughout the day (5cm), but most is supposed to fall overnight (10-15cm), then another 15-20cm tomorrow.

It's currently -8F and overcast. The Blizzard conditions haven't started yet.

In case anyone is wondering how you dress to spend 40 minutes outside at 10 below. Wool socks over regular socks, fleece leggings under jeans, sweatshirt over fleece shirt, neck scarf that can pull up over my lower face, sub zero parka, sub zero boots, sheepskin lined mittens, hat, parka hood. You aren’t exactly nimble dressed this way but you do stay warm.
