The snow has turned to ice and the roads are so bad they had to shut down the local highway due to so many accidents.

The rain and wind is incredible; as are the waves on the ocean— not even high tide. Lots of “white caps”.

The wind is howling, with the rain battling the windows.

Well, I'm just glad I don't have to go anywhere today.
Since last night we've had a mix of freezing rain and ice pellets. And today we have a freezing rain alert.
They are expecting an accumulation of up to 10mm of freezing rain and wind gusts up to 80km. Not a good combination for falling trees. I hope the power doesn't go out (we heat with electric), they are warning about this also. The power grid we are on is notorious for going out, even without any weather issues.
I currently can't see out of my front windows due to the ice accumulation on them.

Rain and near freezing. So glad all the snow went south of us. A small reprieve so far.

It's 60 degrees and sunny. In Pittsburgh. On December 30.

Back into the freezer tomorrow, though. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
