:disappointed::disappointed:its a little past 3 am woke up now and cant fall back asleep:lol: graycie wil keep me company though. been a while since i have used my hands to work i forgot how fast 80 grade sand paper can rough up hands gone soft :disappointed:
I know what you mean. When I was still working, it seemed like even my calluses had calluses; but now, eight years into retirement, my hands aren't quite so rough any more, but I don't have to worry about blisters, either. And as for getting up at 3a.m., that was my routine for more years than I care to think about. Nowadays, I consider it to be sleeping in to get up at 5.

:lol:i need to think up some little projects to keep my hands busy now
Several Christmases ago DH built a doll bed for DD's dolls that has now become an extra bed for Mooch. He built it wider so it's perfect for her. And a fun little something to keep hands busy? I made a mattress for it from foam from the fabric store. Or can you do like birdhouses and feeders to put in the yard and keep Gracie entertained?

I have a squirrel feeder. They are really fun to watch too. I did have to put up a metal squirrel baffle for my bird feeders. It works well but I had to be sure the feeder was far enough away from anything the squirrels could jump from. I guess it depends on your yard space how you can set things up. It's nice giving the squirrels their own feeder too. Some of the birds also will eat out of it. Especially the blue jays and woodpeckers that can lift the lid a bit.

And cardinals,Redwing blackbird, grackles, wide variety of wood peckers, finches.and great northern mockingbird. At least in Texas. Probably the same where you are. I even had a brown headed blackbird. Maybe he was lost

They did that for me in a painting
My sis took a pic of my cat and gave a hand bag for xmas with her on it! Very creative people out there
I had heard that they sent people paintings just out of the blue but I believe it was under the two original guys that owned the company. I don't think they are doing it anymore.Cool though.
