 and to think i wasted so much money on cat beds when we first adopted her when i couldve just went and bought a bunch of boxes from ups instead:oops:
I finally managed to find beds for all of mine and they actually sleep in them. They’re the cheap little rope wall beds from Walmart, they bully each other over who gets the two beds 🤣 I have a pic of XiaoXiao sitting in one as a tiny floof, glaring daggers at us over the side of the bed for kidnapping him.

KoKo loves the pillow I made with cat print plush fabric and super soft stuffing you use for plushies. She rolls off of it when she falls asleep though because it’s too soft and springy LOL

Saw the most sweetest thing ever a few days ago. We have stray cats that live in the woods behind us. Our neighbor feeds them and the deer every day.

The back gate to our fence is open to allow the deer to wander into our yard whenever they want. The other day, a baby deer (still had its spots) was in our backyard along with one of the kittens. The baby deer started panicking because it couldn't figure out how to get out of the yard. It kept pacing back and forth trying to find an opening.

The kitten saw the baby deer panicking and ran up to it to get its attention. Then the kitten turned around and started running towards the back gate. It was showing the baby deer the way out!! 😍 The baby deer instantly started following the kitten and ran towards the exit.

My husband and I were watching this in amazement. We knew that the cats and deer got along. They literally eat together every day but we had no idea that one could help the other like that.

Went to check my balance on a small checking account I use for household repairs and it was much lower than it should be. Someone else’s check - entirely different account number - in the amount of $450 was posted to my account! I am sure they will reverse it out but are closed for the weekend so I will probably have high blood pressure til Monday

HFM has hit our household again. This time it's M's turn (and probably mine since she's nursing approximately 500 times a day). She's completely miserable.

I'm hoping since J had it last November she's immune at least. I guess there are a few different strains.

Got wet cat food, a new slicker for Puddles, and bird food yesterday. I love pet supply shopping! It's like Christmas, but it's useful stuff! LOL!
Do you find yourself filling your cart full of things for them, then deciding you didn't need that $20 pair of jeans after all? 🤣

I have discovered something that is faster than the speed of light. Grumpy usually comes to the back door around sunset, which is when he gets his wet food. Digger was upstairs at the time I got a can out, and, because Grumpy seldom eats a whole can, a second dish for Digger. I had just started to pull the tab to open the food, when suddenly there she was, as if by magic. Cat magic?

People. I am out mowing this morning and the adult neighbor from across the street, nice but the family is a little hillbilly ish, comes over and say “me and Mikey were wondering what you keep in your shed. I mean you keep your lawnmower and snowblowers in your garage, so what do you keep in shed”. They have been neighbors for twenty years and I do appreciate that they are always looking over at my property so I didnt tell him it was none of his business but shesh. I just talked about yard tools and holiday decorations and a serious (made up) mouse problem.

Are your neighbors my neighbors? :rolleyes2: We had a bunch of people from our old church help us move in here when we bought the house and the old farmer (now passed on) told one of the church elder's wives that the jam they were selling would make her horny. :flail: She was buying collard greens from their veggie stand they used to keep. I think she passed on the jam.:rolleyes2: He also used to tell my husband's coworker what we'd been up to in the yard; trimming trees, and what not. I just took him as the old farmer who never really retired type.

Nah those are too important and expensive, they would put all their kids in the shed before that happened 😉

This reminds me of when I moved out here and we were looking for a church. My oldest brother and I were the only ones here since the rest of the furniture had to be moved over (12 hour drives) so we went together. Preacher thought we were a couple, my brother corrected him and preacher said “Oops, I guess you’re not from Alabama either?” 😱
