They did interview the cats owner. He is home and stable and supposedly doing well. But you have wonder about the long term effects to this poor cat.The woman that attacked the cat is no longer in the home
I'm glad to hear that. Thank you.

Yes, I wonder too about the long term impact. One can only hope any lasting damage is small or short lived. The poor thing will no doubt have serious PTSD though.

PS these nasty souls are really getting to me these days.

If I am displeased by something any of my cats do or with anything even unrelated to them they can sense something is not quite right, they run over, look at me with those big,,beautiful,,inquisitive eyes where you can see their soul ,tilt their little heads as if to say " what's wrong, can I help"?

I can't imagine someone punching their face..I feel bad if I'm on the phone venting to someone because the leaf blowers are aggravating me and my cats are looking to me not understanding why I'm upset, they all look at me ,look to me and need to hear the voice that tells them " It's okay babies,Mommy's here,I'm okay"

We are their everything, provider, protector,,comforter, teacher, all knowing(lol),leader, assurance,,safety, constant companion- their entire world.....many people do not deserve to be in their magnificdnt presence 😪

I feel bad enough about what we had to do with Digger: back and forth to the vet, getting meds into her after her surgery.........NOTE: she does not like taking meds, whether pill or liquid form. It's a wonder that she doesn't have PTSD from that. But after a couple of days she was back to rubbing against my leg, and wanting chin scratches, or just being the same old Digger. The only thing missing are the zoomies- none of those so far. If anyone, male or female, was to even attempt to harm one of ours, or even Grumpy, for that matter, their health and welfare would be in serious jeopardy. Jail would be the least of their worries.

This stuff does hit us. Seeing this first thing in the morning was a cue to me it was time right then to go do some weeding in the garden. You need to keep your sanity, otherwise you end up like this little ones abuser. So do something positive, go for a walk whatever. We want to remain a positive force for cats and the good people in the world.

Did the same this morning went out weeding in the garden, there is something very gratifying to see the pile of weeds. Note to self - for future expansions on garden areas don't plant more than you are willing to weed and weed and weed. (I say that today but next year I will go swipe another patch of the hubby's lovely lawn for more plants).

I am SO guilty of this.

I have some to go pull among the tall plants but I’ve avoided it with the heat.

I have one sunflower blooming in the raised beds now but it was facing the wrong way this morning. (Its cloudy.)

It looks nice!! How much noise does it make? Mooch always did better with moving water when she was younger but the noise was annoying to me. Plush washing it! And keeping kids from playing in it. :rolleyes2:
none at all the basin for them to drink from is really shallow maybe 1/2 inch depth? or so. the reservoir probably a few gallons.

I feel like talking to some people is like trying to talk to a brick wall. To quote someone who worked at the prison, you can't fix stupid. And I am not talking about anyone in this particular forum. That's what's on my mind at this time, but it will pass in about five minutes and roll off my back like water on a duck.

Remember the dog DH keeps seeing at the end of the road? I finally saw her! I think she is a puppy. I was bringing my Bob home some chicken fried steak from Bob Evans. (Please don't flame me. Bob loves people food. They pretty much get what they want unless it is dangerous to them. They are the boss of me.)

I gave half of it to the dog. The neighbor's dog is elderly but still dangerous, so I had to throw it out the window of the car. Bob has turned kind of snobbish, He turned up his little nose at it. I ended up giving it to my neutered feral. He loved it. He mostly gets cat food.

Anyway, the puppy looks like a German Shepherd mix. I was all excited until DH informed me that the dog is not coming to our house. He is almost certain the neighbor has adopted her. He saw him outside playing with her. DH foiled my plans of theft. :sniffle:

I am probably not above dog napping, if the circumstances require it. Probably not. Even though dogs are a lot more upkeep than cats, I may need one. I really think we could have taken her if the neighbor hadn't stepped in. She is still skin and bones. But he does like dogs, so I think he will take good care of her.

Well, I most go get my lunch. It's late. We don't eat dinner until anywhere between the hours of 1900-2300. I like military time. It's a work related thing.

Digger update:
It would appear that, save for the shaved patch on her back, she is pretty much fully recovered. How can I tell? She was chasing Stretch around the house this morning, and, since I had a window open to take advantage of the cool morning air, she was batting at the poor guy so she could hog the whole window. Yep; she's back.

 and to think i wasted so much money on cat beds when we first adopted her when i couldve just went and bought a bunch of boxes from ups instead:oops:
I thought I struck gold when I brought Noodles home an awesome cat-bed shaped box from Aldi shopping. I put one of her blankets in and she took to it immediately. Then later that day peed in it. :hmmm: :rolleyes2:
