employment agency scams are more annoying than those wrong number romance scams  atleast with those i get to waste their time and effort feeding them a bunch of lies
In a way, I almost miss those scam calls, like the 'IRS' guy with the heavy accent, or the (non-existent) car warranty, as just two examples. Now, with call screening, those joyous (?) days are gone. By the way; what is the employment agency scam?

Been down that route. Willow would only eat the $2.29 packets of Nutro and ate a package and a half a day. Lola likes Fancy feast - $.90 a day.

I get my share in emails. I got one from the USPS saying they needed my credit card information in order to deliver a letter, and at the end it said "The USPS wishes you good luck every day". Seems legit. :rolleyes3:
We used to do (harmless) prank calls to our friends on the weekends. With Caller ID it's impossible anymore, but it was so fun coming up with "pranks" to do on the phone!

My cousin and I used to put my other cousins toddler on the phone and tell her what to say. All innocent and in good fun! Since it was during my summer visits with my family I didn’t even know who we were calling most of the time. :rolleyes2::lol:

Yeah, back in the days of party lines, it was easy to make prank calls.....unless someone else on the line was listening in.

She lives in my apartment! Plus, is manager for senior living. My mom is into the what ifs,now I am too

This stuff just never ends. Why I don't answer my phone most times. But if you are waiting for and doctor vet or work call you really have to answer as they don't aways call from a number you recognize.

One of those days yesterday. Mid day I got the call that my 86 year aunt with dementia was back in the hospital after another incoherent episode. Meeting on Thursday with our attorney to start an emergency guardian/conservatorship so that this time we can transfer her to a facility instead of letting her go home. It is a yuck process but necessary st this point.

I figured out theres a very small call center close to my moms house. It looks like they route calls through it so they look like they are basically in her neighborhood. There isn’t much commercial space in the vicinity so that doesn’t help.

The risk is part of the thrill sometimes. :rolleyes2:

Not so long ago, I got an email from 'FedEx' telling me that they couldn't deliver my package, and needed to confirm my information to do so.........except that I had not ordered anything from anyone. Needless to say, the email got dumped posthaste.

My favorites are the ones that are so poorly done it should be worthy of prosecution just for the sheer stupidity. "U HAVE WUN A FREE CELL FONE. CLICK HERE."
I remember back in the days of AOL, occasionally a website would lead you to a page that had balloons and confetti telling you that you were the sites 1,000th visitor, and to "click here" to claim your prize. A few years ago I got non stop phone calls from the "we have been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty" places. I had a little bit too much fun with those calls, but, they stopped.
