Yes we were!!54-56!What branch was your Dad? My Dad was Army.... I bet our Dads knew each other ,I think back then they all knew each other! Oh my goodness,I can't believe we were both there at the same time:itslove:
Dad was in the Air Force. He started out in the Army Air Corps, then when the USAF was formed, transferred over. He was a bomber pilot with SAC (Strategic Air Command). I don't think that SAC even exists anymore, to tell the truth. But yeah, I bet they did know each other, at least to speak with! He did mention some Army guys he was with then, he liked them very well! How old were you? Lordy, we may have played together!

Born in the Army hospital - just a baby but maybe you played with me..... my parents used to have picnics in the summer time,I remember photos of me in a box from a case of beers or soda with blankets in it and little girls(4,5 or 6yr olds) entertaining me

My Dad was always very well liked and my parents always cooked for gatherings, lots of friends- they were much fun, nice people❤

My Dad was a very talented artist,he spoke of his pilot buddies because he painted pin up girls and names on their planes.. He also painted the Officers Halls with the Alaska bear logo they all wore on their field jackets.... isn't that delightful, wish I had those photos

I still have a patch

We have been watching Minnie's Bow-Toons because J asked for Minnie's Mouse and that's what my husband found to download. Figaro the cat's meow sounds exactly like Sparkle's and it always throws me off thinking she's stuck somewhere.

It's funny that I can easily tell Sparkle and Lelia's meows apart (they honestly sound nothing alike), but not Farfle and a cartoon cat.

My mother is making DS and I watch a Hallmark Christmas movie. The big city gal in a bright red peacoat just smiled up at the brick building apartment where the guy in a green sweater and khakis with a collared shirt is decorating his Christmas tree with “homemade” ornaments. She must be coming around. … Ooo…. We’ve progressed to ice skating at an outdoor rink.

I have never ice skated! I also had my first taste of alcohol(cannot drink) so maybe one day. I forgot it was white wine that I use for cooking but instead used it as a dressing with honey. Oops!

Just almost had my money stolen. So mad at myself. I sell plants online and someone messaged me saying they wanted to pay in advance to hold which happens frequently so not weird at all. She said she sent the money but I got a link saying I had to do it manually because it is coming from business account. The email looked exactly like my normal direct deposit email and I didn't think anything of it. Even when I clicked on the link, it looked like the normal interact website text for text basically. But when I put my information in, it started bugging out which worried me then got an alert via text basically saying my account was being used and asking if it's me. *Sigh* It's getting harder and harder to tell what's a scam online nowadays. Same thing happened to my fiancé not too long ago as well. He was skeptical but it looked very real and he clicked on the link only to discover that it was in fact not real... Now I have to find time to call the bank and get a new card maybe. :frustrated:

Update: My accounts have been wiped clean and I no longer have access to my bank account :angryfire:

What? Now what? You mean someone wiped out your accounts? Are these brick and morter banks that you can go to or online stuff? I'm just blown away by this stuff and hoping you get it all sorted quickly and easily

It's a very scarey thing- I do nothing online, too paranoid- I've got one card for online use only, not even in my own name-I wanted to start a thing where I'd get paid online but can't really figure how to do it securely or comfortably( 3yrs tossing around this idea)

Did your fiancee sort his out?

I have a prepaid debit card for online purchases, and it is completely divorced from any of our bank accounts. I recently got an e-mail, purportedly from the issuer, saying that as it is coming up for renewal, they wanted to confirm my information. Instead of clicking on the link, I called the 800 number on the card itself. Yep, it was a scam.

I got it sorted. The bank flagged my account as fraud so when they tried to take money, the transactions were nulled. I still have to get new cards and change all my info.

He did get his sorted. We are just going to be a lot more careful from now on. I got scolded over the phone by the fraud person which didn't feel great because I'm already embarrassed. But at least no money was lost.

Oh thank goodness- it happens ,it happens to very sharp, brilliant people so shame on that person for scolding you.... he may very well eat his words one day becausd it happens to the best of some pretty savvy people

I'm really glad you both are not at a loss-happy to hear it- the rest is just a lot of inconvenience, cards can be replaced - You shouldn't be embarrassed,it was a mistake,a misjudgment- your only human ❤Now you are that much wiser and it was a very small price to pay for that wisdom.....we're not perfect, none of us are

I might well have been one of those younger girls! We'll just take it for granted that I was!

I have a separate account for online transactions that pulls from my main account, but cannot be traced back to it. It keeps $5 in the account, and draws as needed. SO, if anyone is watching, that's the balance they see. And I do the same thing with emails. I read them, and then go to the source. ADDITIONAL TIP: When you get an email like that, LOOK AT THE ISSUING ADDRESS! Most scams (not all, but most) have really weird email addresses!

I just saw some "Spider Socks" listed on foottraffic.com They also offer Cat socks as well.
I had to see for myself because I couldn't imagine putting socks on a spider or why anyone would( 4pairs for one spidey?)
:flail: No

I laughed so hard at myself when I saw all the cute socks for humans- silly me ,huh?
