My cat got dewormed recently and she's been pooping everyday which is usually not her typical schedule. Usually she goes every 2 days. Since she's been dewormed she's been pooping everyday now and her stools are soft but still somewhat firm and she has a little diarrhea. The color is light brown to dark brown. I have been also adding more wet food and water to her diet because she had a UTI 2 weeks ago. I guess my questions are, could the dewormer and the wet food/more water be causing these soft stools and diarrhea? And my second question is, does her stool look normal regarding everything that is going on? I was going to give the dewormer more time before taking her back go the vet if she needed it. She got dewormed Monday.

Each cat’s stool is different so it’s kind of hard to say. Quinn has very dark poop but he doesn’t have blood in his stool, etc.

It looks pretty normal to me however, if you’re concerned, I would call your Dvm and show them a picture or take a sample over. Deworming does usually affect their stool a little bit- sometimes it can cause soft stool.
