It's like this. On Thursday I bought beautiful slicing tomatoes at a farm stand, also plum tomatoes. And two poblano chilies. Continuing down the road - two rotisserie chickens from Costco. Annoying - they no longer come in clamshells. They're in plastic bags. I made potato salad.

Our daughter, son-in-law, and their oldest daughter arrived for three days / two nights on their way from Massachusetts towards Texas and Colorado. Himself's sister arrived from Manhattan. That evening I cooked shrimp to go with the other food..

Then on Friday daughter and I went to local farm stand and bought 8 ears of just picked corn. I made 3 bean salad - red beans, chickpeas, cut green beans, diced Vidalia onion, Ken's country French salad dressing.

A niece and one son arrived for the day.

Let the cooking begin!

Midday meal - broiled a 5 pound beef flap steak. Let it rest. Granddaughter is fabulous on slicing, dicing, cutting. She prepared corn cut off the cob with diced tomatoes, onion, sweet red pepper, poblanos - but the medium Hatch chilies were merely diced and in a separate little bowl. Boiled 4 cobs of corn. Three bean salad. Potato salad. Sliced chicken. Sliced steak. Warmed tortillas.

To drink - Negra Modelo or Dos Equis beer. Water infused with sliced limes, cucumber, and sprigs of mint. Homemade lemonade concentrate with water or sparkling water. Plain water.

And we ate. And we ate. And we ate.

And Mr Poe, ever hopeful, was disappointed.
And then, late in the afternoon the day trippers departed. Eventually we had an evening meal. Lightly toasted rolls with steak or chicken or both, with sliced tomatoes, with Vidalia onion, with whatever folks wanted to pile on. It might even have been even better!

And it's like you can only get deals if you download the app. I don't want a bunch of different food apps.
I thought it was a generational thing but I get tired of all the apps as well. I even have one on my phone for work. The site does the dual verification by sending the code to the app.

I think I mentioned Whole Foods donates to my church's Sunday food pantry giveaway?
So yesterday I noticed containers of " Whole egg" ,like a milk carton container-Im not one to try things really but my friend encouraged me to take one and promised they were real eggs and excellent for omelets or dipping for batter ..

This morning I poured it into a plastic dish that Chinese take out came in,added sliced baby potatoes( cooked) stirred up and stuck in the microwave for a minute and absolutely nothing happened- shoved it back in for 2more minutes and to my surprise it was tye fluffiest, moist, perfectly cooked potatoe n egg omelette I've ever seen!!!And delicious! Lol

Normally I'd have made potatoes and egg on the stove but I really thought I'd be tossing it in the garbage so I thought if I waste no time or effort I won't mind having to toss it- rofl..... A new, easy favorite so tonight I just might have a sausage, pepper, onion and egg omelette done the same way- or not,I made rigatoni with sausage yesterday and never had it after eating a turkey ,bacon, lettuce tomatoe sandwich on a Whole Foods multi grain hoagie for lunch.... was gonna eat half but nope,it was just too yummy !

Not sure about supper...
I have an appointment with GI doc this Morning. The office is located in a strip mall where there is a Wegmans!
May pick up a prepared meal for supper... easy stuff...
Or:
There are 'steak' tips tonight on the menu--- occasionally good... mostly bad... We will see...
