Kwik Kwik Count me in with that manicotti, please!

Tonight's dinner was grilled spare ribs, succotash (corn and lima beans from the garden), and honey bun cake for dessert.
Wouldn't that be fantastic if we could all come together to meet and enjoy each other in person? Oh how I'd love cooking a feast for all of us...if I ever won the lottery I would certainly host a big event for such a thing and fly you all there.... after all you'd have to see the animal sanctuary I would build - I'd ask permission to name the feline section" The Cat Site"❤

Oh wow,my Dad loved fried bologna- haven't heard anyone doing that since I was a kid

How is he doing with the hip? Feeling good as new yet?
Living where I do,it's quite popular.I've seen other people prepare it but I never had,so this was a first, and he said it was pretty good. One of these days I'll have to try it.Hipwise he's doing great! Not 100 % yet...still has a limp, using the walker less ,doing some walking with the cane and on his own.Sees the surgeon next week so we'll see what they have to say about any restrictions,or where they think he should be.

I made him 2 sandwiches last night, not knowing how hungry he was,and I even fried some bologna and put a slice on both of his.He ate one and said he'd have the other for breakfast, which turned into his dinner tonight.I had half a pork chop,2 latkes (I usually make a bunch as I don't make them often and we love the leftovers) and half a sliced tomato from the garden. So good!
Wow, Friend Bologna sandwich!! Man, I have not had one for ver a decade. I loved fried bologna on white bread, with yellow mustard!!

mustard is the only way to go for me
Mustard is a midwestern tradition whether on bologna, salami or hot dogs. If you dare to put ketchup on a hot dog here they'd embarrass you in front of everyone.

Even though it's quite warm I'm making a big pot of veggie chili for dinner since our oldest is staying over and it's her #1 request.

LOL, I have NO clue. It is only 5 PM now, and I don't eat lunch until around 10 PM, with dinner at 4 AM! But probably scrambled eggs for lunch, and a chicken patty with SOMETHING for dinner. Or maybe a PBJ. We'll see.

My whole family growing up were mustard fanatics, and I guess I'm no different. One of my favorites as a child was a Polish mustard my grandparents always had...kosciusko?...excuse the spelling. It came in a glass mug back in the day.Wonderful stuff!Haven't a clue if they even make it anymore.I've started to make my own dijon now and a couple of other flavors too.Love the stuff!

I'm a mustard head, too. I just love the stuff. My mom said that, when I was a little girl, she found me a couple times with the French's mustard jar and a spoon, just gobbling it down.

I took a ribeye out of the freezer. Rick will grill it (pending no rain) and we're going to split it. I was watching Ina's Back to Basics the other night and she made a mushroom sauce that I'm going to try tonight. It looked wonderful. And I'm going make baked corn to go with, along with some green beans. I'll warm up a couple squash rolls from the freezer. And Rick will have some honey bun cake for dessert.

They still make Kosciusko Mustard. I see it all the time in my local supermarket! Yes, I love the little barrel jar!

I have never heard of Kosciusko mustard so I had to look it up. Kosciusko Mustard won a gold medal at the 1998 Napa Valley Mustard Festival World-Wide Mustard Competition. I looked it up online at the store here I thought would most likely have it and sure enough there it was. Growing up Guldens Mustard was the house favorite. So now I will have to try Kosciusko Mustard.

Fortunately we had leftover gazpacho for last night as my battered left hand is still really bruised and somewhat swollen. Doesn't seem broken anywhere.
Oh no, I'm so sorry, did I miss something, did you have an accident? Glad it's not broken, take care and try to pamper it for now.🤗

I'm having a sweet potato with a veggie hummus spinach wrap. DH is having a broccoli and swiss cheese chicken kiev with a baked potato and salad. Mocha chocolate chip yogurt bars for dessert.
