We went out for dinner with friends on Friday and I enjoyed liver and onions. It was a family-style restaurant and, considering that they're in a fairly rural area, they do a great business. There were people standing in line waiting to be seated when we left. Very, very good food.

Rick went to his class reunion last night. He went in early to help set tables and such and, on his way back home, he stopped at Wendy's for me. Then changed his clothes and went back to the reunion for the dinner.

Today, we're grilling pork chops and I'm making green beans as a side. I really like Penzey's Justice seasoning for many things. I use it in place of salt and it's quite good.

Not hamburger but close. Sort of. Last night I took some sliced meatloaf out of the freezer, heated and crisped in cast iron frying pan with a smidge of oil. Served on a toasted roll with sliced onion and a schmear of ketchup. Boiled little red potatoes to accompany. Cut them in half when tender and added a smidge of Smart Balance.

I got roped into going with friends for a nature walk and dinner at a vegan Korean restaurant - I love the restaurant but not sure the mix of people go well. I'm planning to have Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap but may change my mind when we get there.

Harry was released from physical therapy today.Ordinarily I would say yay and want to celebrate, but these folks have been awesome and so very helpful in his recovery...they will be missed for sure! He wanted mac and cheese with hot dogs for dinner,so that was it,plus I had a sliced cucumber to go with mine.

Congrats to Harry! It must be reassuring to know he made such good progress.

My dinner with friends went better than expected. Everyone got along well and I changed my mind from what I thought I would order. I had a mushroom dish with 3 types of mushrooms sautéed with kale, broccoli, onion and garlic served over quinoa.

Oh my yes!He still has to walk with the walker as he still has a limp, but it won't be long and he can try a cane to see how that goes.Best thing of all is that the pain is gone!Today was his 6 week mark, and he will see the surgeon in another 2 weeks. We know they'll do an exray for sure. He's been spending quite a bit of time outside in the garden, doing his thing, but with this heat,he heads for the house when it reaches 80-85.His therapist was here today and they spoke quite a bit about the things he needs to do to get his bee yard ready for him working them again.I'm not sure how that's gonna go right now.He will sure need help!

The heat and humidity are beating me and making be tired.
I feel your pain, that's what our weather was like yesterday. Today it's cloudy and rain but cooler. I hope you get our cooler temps tomorrow. 🤗

Since it cooled off here we're having lentil vegetable soup with salad. DH bought a pumpkin muffin so that will be dessert along with a honeycrisp apple.

I used to love our restaurants with salad bars . Unfortunately once Covid hit they did away with them and never brought them back
We stopped at a local restaurant for their salad bar. My salad was a bit of lettuce, some carrots, fresh peas, and a few garbanzo beans. I love garbanzo beans. Dessert consisted of a few red grapes and some blueberries with a bit of chocolate pudding.
