What's For Dinner? - 2023

I had a late lunch so making avocado toast for dinner with my new Kite Hill spinach & artichoke dip that I love. DH is having a bowl with chicken, shredded cheese, rice and veggies. Honeycrisp apple for dessert.

I had leftover potatoes from making my casserole yesterday,so I made obrien potatoes...hubby asked for bacon and eggs,and I had toast with my obriens and a couple of pieces of bacon.

I kinda had a snack plate for dinner. Marinated tofu, amish mac salad, deviled egg mac salad, cheez it sharp grooves crackers, some other kind of cheese puff crackers that I didn't like, ginger flavored peaches from Aldi that were soooo yummy, Aldi habanero cranberry cheese, tiny naan bread dipper thingys.

Lunch was waffles. Dinner will be the chicken strips, mac and cheese, and corn.

I bought the ingredients for my veggie chili when I went to the store yesterday but wasn't planning on making it yet, that is until DH asked for it tonight. And the espresso beans w/dark chocolate bars were still on sale so I bought a few of those too. At lease we'll have chili leftovers now.

ate at some lil food court market by where gf mom is located now was pretty dissapointing best part was the desert we got from this crepe shop

Little black beluga lentils braised with sauteed carrots, leek cut small, simmered in bouillon. Added some quartered dried apricots at the end, with just enough time to soften. Rice cooked seperately. Served seperately but easy to mix together. Smeared chicken thighs with barbecue sauce, then baked in toaster oven. Served on warmed plates,

Light dinner tonight - minestrone soup with rotini pasta added in. Honeycrisp apple for dessert.

Had a late afternoon appointment to get our taxes done,so what for dinner?Went to Aldis and got a pizza,added sliced pepper and onion and some extra cheese and it was delicious!

Tuna mornay tonight. The one version of fish they make for us that’s worth trying to reheat in the microwave!

We went out to breakfast this morning and we weren't hungry tonight. We each had another grilled meatloaf and baby Swiss sandwich, mine with lettuce and a slice of tomato. And a salad.

Hot dog on toasted bun, instant mashed potatoes (made with water milk, butter) and microwave steamed fresh broccoli

Just about finished up the pizza and I made a nice salad for us to share.
