Last night was a catch as catch can kinda night,so today I fixed a potroast with carrots, onions and celery, and I made dumplings (the kind that cook on top of the broth, meat and veggies) instead of fixing potatoes. So good!

Breakfast for dinner tonight. Omelets with fried potatoes and ham.

On Friday, Rick picked me up from work and said he really wanted delivery pizza; when we got home, I called and they delivered. We were out and about on Saturday and Rick suggested hitting Cracker Barrel for a bit of lunch. That worked.

I figured I'd better make something at home tonight! And our pantry is quite bare, so omelets work.

Can you clone her? I think most of us could use a Nicole in our life. ;)

I've missed reading and posting in this thread. I made a Trader Joe's run this afternoon and had their Veggie Quinoa burger for dinner tonight on a toasted ciabatta roll with roasted red pepper hummus, spinach leaves, slice of tomato and Swiss Lorraine cheese melted on top. Honeycrisp apple for dessert.

lizzie lizzie I've made that with the pasta and ground beef and it's wonderful stuff! Rick loves it.

I asked Rick to take some of that grilled chicken I did for Labor Day out of the freezer for dinner tonight. We'll have that with twice-baked sweet potatoes and some green beans.
Around here most people make it without the seasonings, and they love it!I can't leave things alone,so......

lizzie lizzie , that's the way I am, too. You need those seasonings, IMO!

Well, Rick "forgot" to take the chicken out of the freezer yesterday. He really doesn't care for chicken much at all. We ended up with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Tonight is split pea soup with cornbread.
