What tastes better a little burnt?

I'm going to go with pizza crust. I like it when there is a slight char from a wood-fired oven.

Yup. I also like a bit of char on pizza. On my steak too. A nice char on the outside and rare on the inside.

I also like hot dogs a bit on the burnt side. Grilled cheese is always better when it's well done.

Cheese for sure and marshmallows. I have the easiest way of roasting marshmallows compared to people who like it lightly toasted. I just set it the marshmallow on fire and when it goes out, it's ready.

That's what I've always done too. Then I pull the toasted part off, eat it and do it again. Yum.

any type of meat griiled on a bbq or pan needs that bit of singed/seared marks to be good

My grandfather's biggest complaint about the food at his assisted living is that they don't make his toast dark enough. As in they dont burn it!

Ha, I always have to put it through the toaster twice! There are some toasters that get it right the first time on the highest setting, but not many.
