im russian, hope my eng is not the worst.. i found Tokyo in a litter bag when she was 2-3 weeks old, my first own cat. for the first time she was solid dark brown with a little star on chest. her paws are cherry red, like brown animals usually have.
first hours at home 2,5 weeks

but after time her undercoat started to turn grey on belly and neck(after googling found out it calls smoke), on her back and legs noticed long white hair. her fur is thick but not long.
1 month

when Tokyo grew older, i started to notice tabby lines on her body and legs, dark stripe from tail to head, ghost M on forehead.
1,5 months

2 months

so my questions are: what color is she probably going to be at the end? is she ghost tabby brown smoke? she has big chin, her sister has a massive head too, could they be mixes of siberian cat (tho we are in russia)? what length would be her hair? what breed (by her face) she looks like, mix or distant echoes?
photo of her sister (with her owner)

thanks for any answers!

She's so cute! In the first few pictures, she reminds me of a little bear cub. :)

She looks very fuzzy, but it's hard to say if she is going to be longhaired as an adult, or have a short plushy coat, because the fur on her tail still looks pretty short. If her tail gets puffier, she may turn out to be longhaired.

I don't think she is brown in color. She looks like a black kitten to me. It's normal for black cats and kittens to have some brownish fur, and ghost markings.

As far as the light colored base to her coat, she might turn out to be smoke. However, at this age she still has a long way to go before she has her adult coat. Wait and see how that develops. If her coat turns out to be white (or nearly white) at the base of each hair, everywhere on her body, she would be described as black smoke in color.

Finally, I don't know how likely it is that she would have Siberian ancestry, because I don't know how common those cats are where you live. Most cats are not any particular breed. I'm not seeing any obvious signs of specific breed ancestry in these pictures, however she is still quite young, and she might start looking more like some particular breed as she gets older.

oh i understand.. its a mystery for me, was trying to find some books about felinology and pattern genetics, but theres zero information in russian network..

oh im thinking only like cynologist . when i look at her i see dark chocolate as in some dog breeds. tho my dog has black ears, and my brain automatically says "this kitten is brown". haha

siberians cats are very common here, because russia is their homeland. my boyfriend has a cat from street, he is also a siberian mix (his head is big like pumpkin hah). so i hope Tokyo is too. but if not we love her the way she is, was just very interesting to know more from specialists. thank you for this answer! better than i could ever imagine! <з
for those who interested or has same questions about their kittens i will add pictures later when she will be older.
