What Mix Is Our Furry Kitty? (lots Of Cute Pictures!)

Hi All!

We adopted this cutie from the SPCA, so he is probably not a purebred, but we're curious to see if Toby is a mix of any other breeds. He's a little less than a year at 11 lbs & is expected to grow per the vet!

Here's a shot of his bushy tail & tufts of hair between his paws:

He loves following us around & playing with water. Any ideas?

Toby is so handsome! I think there’s a good chance there’s some Maine Coon in him! His muzzle conformation is similar to what we’d see in a Maine Coon, in addition to his thick fur and large paws. Maine Coons are a giant breed, and 11 lbs at less than a year old is definitely larger than average!

Oh he is adorable! I do agree that there does seem to be a mixture of Maine Coon in him; and perhaps some regular tabby too. Maine Coons also have water resistant fur so that could explain why little Toby likes to play with water, too.

Thank you both!! After doing a little research Toby does share a lot of traits with the Maine Coon. (: Especially the size and his love of water. Looking at all these breeds...it's difficult to tell the difference between the Maine Coon, Norwegian, and the Siberian mixes--they're all such beautiful, fluffy cats.
