Hello,
My 4 yr-old thunder had a smelly odor and when i checked him I found this in the left side of his mouth.
He eats well and hasn't been acting strange, can I do anything to help him?

No, you can't heal that at home yourself no matter what anyone on the Internet says (lots of trolls out there intentionally giving out harmful / bad suggesstion / advice / remedies / etc because they get a kick out of it). You need to have a vet examine the cat and prescribe proper treatment.

You should take him to the vet, usually cats can get teeth checkups!

That almost looks like a ruptured abscess. Definitely going to need a vet visit, and if that's what it is he'll need antibiotics for sure and most likely need to have the infected tooth or teeth extracted. Yeah, no way to heal that at home.

Hey guys, just wanted to update you on thunder and he's really better now, the wound is less swollen and isn't stinky, I still clean it regularly until it's fully healed. Thanks for everyone's help.

Did thunder go to the vet because that looked infected and teeth infections can come back with vengeance, the abscess pops and then grows back...
I’m a dentist.... (not a vet dentist, but trust me they are nearly the same)

Yes I took him to a vet and she said it must've been a scratch from playing, he also got a teeth checkup, he's all right now, thank you

That doesn't "almost" look like an abscess. That IS an abscess.

It only took me about 0.68 seconds, to figure that out and I'm not even a dentist!
But amandag1 amandag1 IS a dentist. You should listen to her! :)

Glad you went to the vet and I'm glad your kitty is on the mend!
Hope she gets better soon! Prayers and best wishes be with you!
