What do these kind of interactions mean?

Ellie and Mia keep having weird interactions like this and I don’t know what it means or what we are doing wrong? What else can we do for them to get along, it’s been many months. And I do feel they’re doing better than they once did, but I’m just concerned.

Nothing to worry about. :)

The darker cat was chasing the feather while the tabby cat was watching from on-high. The tabby jumped down to take a turn at the feather while the other wasn't looking and the two cats collided.

If you put it in human words, one cat said, "Hey! Watch out!" and the other said, "No! It's my turn!" Then, there was a moment when each cat said, "Hey, you big dummy! Get out of my way!"

Basically, like two toddlers trying to play with the same toy. They scuffled for a moment then went about their respective business.

Well, first, I think you could change your behaviors. This is not meant to be mean at all! It's just in the video you just said "Mia, aww..." in a high pitched, nice voice. That's seems like a happy, sweet, play voice. Your voice should change to STERN voice and tell her no. Maybe Mia needs a time out even. She needs to learn it's not okay.

But I agree - this was nothing terrible. Just if you want to nip it in the bud...

If it lasted any longer than the two seconds shown in the video, I might have said something like, "Play nice!" but I'd consider it more like "incidental contact."

When kids play, they often bump elbows and stuff like that. I say that the same thing was happening with your cats.
