What Color?

So I understand that my cat is a black domestic long hair, but she has this orange/red mane that sticks out. It’s always been there and has not faded, is there a name for this?

I have nothing helpful to add as to the name of that coloring, burn just wanted to say her red mane is amazing! She looks like a lion!

I think I would still describe her coloring as black. It’s normal for black longhaired cats to have slightly lighter fur around their “mane”, and sun exposure (even through sunbathing in a window) can cause black cats’ fur to have a reddish tint. She is very pretty!

Wow, that's cool! It's not unusual for the tips of a longhaired black cat's fur to fade to brown/red, but I've never see one that dramatic!
