hello guys!! I’m a new cat owner here
I got my son (his name is Chaiiro) a month ago from third parties, so he sell this cat, that he got from a breeder.

when i first got my son, i never knew about his breed, i dont even think about it, i just saw him on social media, and i start to fall for him😂😂 he’s so cuteeeeeee, so i got him on the same day, and the third parties told me, the breed is British Shorthair.
But i think for the price that he gave me, its too cheap for a pure BSH.

Can you tell if my cat is a British shorthair or a mixed breed? And what color he is? Is it cinnamon bicolor, or brown bicolor?
I'm so curious, but please remember, i really love my cat, so asking like this don’t make me love him less or anything, it just pure curiosity 😂, here i put his picture:

I wont swear he is purebred, and definitely wont tell he is of Show quality, but yeah, I do think he has much of British shorthair on him.
The head form and eyes smells of a british shorthair.

Ps. "used" purebreds are usually cheaper than if you are the first buyer.

Ps. And pet quality purebreds may often too be lower priced than these supposed to be used for breeding or Shows.

"used" is, if someone say, buyed a kitten, but by some reason, cant keep it, and return / resell to the breeder. Or sell to someone else.

Such a second selling is usually for a (somewhat) lower price. Esp if the kitten is no kitten any longer.

Adult purebreds are sold much cheaper - here is often a quaranteed good home more important than a good price.

What a cutie😀 I do think he looks British short hair also and also maybe Scottish straight a little bit… he does not look like a show quality BSH , maybe a mix or maybe a “pet” quality- I’m not sure.

I think his color is either chocolate bi color or maybe cinnamon, which is the rarest color for British shorthair cats. His features look a little bit more Scottish straight to me which are not as exaggerated as the British short hair.

thanks girl!!hehehe, this is my first time hearing Scottish Straight, and when i do some research, u are right, he looks like that a bit haha..
and yes, i also don't think if he's a show quality BSH maybe that's why he's cheaper, but at least i've got some point about what kind of cat he is, still love him tho, thank you for the answer girl, appreciate it, hope u have a good day<3
