What Breed Is Looney Luna?

A friend of mine found Luna back in September, we asked around at the time but she was so skinny and malnourished we think she was abandoned outside our apartments.

I just fell in love with her and she's lived with me ever since. She's been all checked out by the vet and is surprisingly healthy. She has a little kink in her tail and her front paws are mis-shaped. I just wondered if she is a certain breed or just a mix? It really doesn't matter as I just love her to bits (even though she is nuts!) but I'm new to cats so would be interesting to know. I've includes recent photos and a couple from when she came to live with me.

Also any advice would be great (former dog person here!)

Aww! Luna is adorable! I would describe her as a brown broken mackeral (spots and stripes) tabby and white Domestic Shorthair. I love her big eyes!

She's adorable! I would describe her as a brown tabby and white domestic shorthair (broken mackerel tabby pattern, which means some stripes and some spots).

Unlike dogs, most cats are simply domestic cats without specific breeds in their ancestry, so it's not quite accurate to call them "mixes" -- the most accurate description for cats without any specific breed would be domestic shorthair or domestic longhair, depending on hair length.

I'm very biased but I think she is just the cutest. And that's why her name is Luna...big eyes like the moon.
