SWAMBO called from the bedroom "You'd better come and take care of your cat!" Whenever Belle "Does Something", she's my cat. (I suppose that's fair- whenever Minerva Does Something, she's SWAMBO's dog.) I discover Belle has caught a small mouse and is immensely pleased with herself. I pet her and tell her what a good girl she is and she purrs loudly. She rubs her cheeks against the mouse and play with it like it's her favorite toy. I don't want to take the mouse away from her and discourage her hunting but I don't want the mouse to get away and go hide somewhere in the house. To that end, I ensure the mouse is dead. It isn't until I place the mouse in her dish that she gets the idea that mousy is more than a plaything. As she sniffs it, I can tell she's realizing it's food and takes the tail in her teeth. I turn the leave, took two steps towards the door and when I look back, the mouse is gone and Belle is contentedly cleaning her whiskers like she always does after a good meal.

Good kitty

I should get my friend to post her cat story about Freya and a mouse on the bed one day :D.

Puddles was going after a moth in the window of the bedroom. You know the routine - akakak, mrrr.. akakak **Swat, thump**

Gracie did Boone dirty and ate all the dry food. No more until dinnertime. View attachment 484080
Things took a turn once Boone saw the empty bowl. He calmly walked over to Gracie and started licking her. Once she really started enjoying it, he quickly wrapped both of his arms around her neck and flopped his body over so he had her in a chokehold. The panic on Gracie's face was instantaneous and I had to intervene before he choked her out. Guess Boone is officially done with taking Gracie's crap and Gracie has learned not to finish off all the dry food.

Daisy's now washing her bot after being a Good Girl and doing a poo, and being rewarded with a chase after her feathered wand (nearly a featherless wand these days) and a couple of dental treats. Phoebe's asleep under the bed.

Sami and Timmy are sleeping on the chaise part of the couch diagonal from where I'm sitting, typing - Graycie is sleeping inside in front of the cat flap to patio- Max is sound asleep on the patio floor and Bella is out on the patio lying on the floor as well( odd because they are usually on the cat condo or up in the table) So all is quiet, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse!

It is 9:40 pm, and all 4 kittens just finished eating their 7th and 8th cans of wet food for the day. Plus, they go through a couple of bowls of dry food each day.

They are all lounging around grooming and letting their food digest. About 10:30 this evening they will get all fired up and starting running around the house. I generally wait until about 11:30 to go to bed so that they are somewhat calmed down.

Last I saw Puddles, she was in the kitchen begging for food. She oozes onto the floor like a furry puddle (which makes me wonder if that's where her name came from) and gives me a heartfelt meow. 'Slave.. it is food o'clock! My food cistrin is empty!'
