My cat Marshmallow has been missing for 8 months now. Should I still be hopeful or is she gone? I might've seen her, but the cat I saw didn't look like her that much, but I'm just hoping it is. What should I do? Should I put up posters and ads although it's been almost a year? What might've happened to her??

Hi! You could definitely put up posters, ads, utilize all of the lost pet websites that you can find including facebook's lost pet section and Next door's neighborhood website, and also talk with neighbors.

I'm not suggesting to get your hopes up, but on the other hand it could be that she was taken in by someone who didn't realize that she was not a stray.

That's a long time gone, but not by any means the longest I've heard of. We shall hope that your girl is living the life of Riley with someone who thought she was homeless, and is being treated like a queen!
