I don't know, maybe I just yearn for the apparent simplicity we had back then although that's probably a rose tinted naive memory.

I'd go back to 18. I know that's young, but 18 was when high school was finally over and college was just beginning. It was okay not to work or worry about things like paying rent. Granted I was stupid and took out 27k in mostly private loans for one year of school (which I obviously regret) but at the time I just wanted the freedom and that was my only way. Once my twenties hit everything got harder, and paying back that loan and high rent costs took a huge toll on my income, especially without a degree.
