Weird black bump on the skin by my cat's collar.

I was scratching my cat last night when I felt a slight bump. I looked closer and it was a black bump. I ran my finger over it and no legs moved so I don't think it's a tick. It also doesn't seem to bother her at all if touched or even wiggled. I plan to take her to the vet to get it checked but will not be able to until Monday since it's Thanksgiving where I am tomorrow. Does anyone else have any ideas of what this might be.

Hi! It could be just a benign cyst. Maybe remove the collar for the time being and ask the vet, if it's just a cyst, if they can remove it so the collar doesn't rub on it.

My cat had a little bump there.
The vet said it was from the collar. So what I’ve always done since is remove my cats collar at night. I don’t let him out at night so after dinner I remove it then put it back on him in the morning before I let him out.
And he’s never had a bump since.
