This one is from a friend who is very computer shy.

She is being given a Singapura kitten by her son very soon, and I am wildly jealous, BTW. Her concern is that since the cats are so small, and many vets won't spay kittens under two pounds, will she be able to have her kitten spayed before she reaches sexual maturity (the kitten, not my friend, of course!)?

Adult female Sinapuras generally grow to about 4 pounds, adult males 6 to 7 pounds. This means that by the time they are 4 months of age they would usually be over 2 pounds. Therefore, you should have no problem getting her spayed (or him neutered) prior to sexual maturity.
