She's seen pictures and a video, but couldn't make it out for a visit - it was a 2 hour drive each way, so I had to take off from work.
I realize it's a long trip, but I do hope your wife will be able to meet the cat before you definitively decide that the toyger is "the one".

I wouldn't be concerned if your wife had been wanting to adopt a cat forever, or if she had a history of loving every cat she has ever met, but because she's only just agreed to having a cat in your home, I feel she needs to be on board 100% to prevent any future friction or unhappiness involving your new feline family member. JMHO, of course. :)

A bit of advice...when you do finally have that baby on the way, set up your nursery as soon as possible, and let her explore in there and get comfortable with it all. AND think about a cat tree in the nursery, where she can watch what is going on without being in the middle of it. And don't be surprised if your cat picks up on a pregnancy before either of YOU do! They can smell the hormonal changes very early on, and many of them react to it, generally by wanting to be as close to that oh-so-interesting tummy as possible.

She's a little beauty! And I understand that, at least with SOME breeders, a portion of their cost goes to preserving actual tigers in the wild.

Picked her up today!!!! She's been an absolute doll. She cried a bit on the drive home, but quieted down when I put my finger in the carrier.

In her new room, I let her roam around while I sat still and did some work on my computer. After 15 minutes or so, she started coming to me for attention, which I was happy to give of course! She's sat on my lap several times so far, each time purring happily once I gave her some good skritches.

Looking like a great start with Sierra!

Had to move my laptop as I typed this, because she demanded her lap space back.

She is gorgeous! And yes, those Yeowww! toys are great. *If you're a cigar man, they have those, too.*
