My first thought was renal failure. Did you test for FIP? It's a young cat, so that's totally plausible. Until you can get a real diagnosis, all you can do is keep up food and water intake. Force-feeding is totally doable, especially on a cat that's practically gone limp tbh. Get as much food and water in as you can, but without a diagnosis, progress might be impossible. Sometimes cats go on hunger strikes over relatively minor issues and then end up getting liver cirrhosis just from digesting their own body fat.
Yes just waiting now, third time in 3 days but I'll do anything for my baby. She's been drinking on her own and I've been giving her the chicken flavour supplement as well as force feeding food, which she is keeping down thankfully.

Update:

Blood results show normality in almost everything besides the kidneys, which are slightly raised levels.

She is currently receiving a drip.

More updates to follow.

These vets told me otherwise... I've been told multiple things about her by original vet and ER! Messing with my head
Not all vets are good. I've been very lucky with my vet. Been with them over 20 years.

Some vets are out purely to make £££$$$s. I'll tell you a story that happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. She had an elderly dog. The dog developed an eye problem in one of her eyes. For 18 months my friend had the dog back and forth to the vet. She lives 25 miles away but we phone each other regularly. The vet kept giving her this medication and that and the eye got no better. One day she phoned me in desperation so I drove down to see her. I took one look at the poor dog and told her the eye needed to be removed and fast. It was just a swollen, red mess. My friend said the vet told her the dog wasn't blind in that eye. It was obviously that she was. I told my friend to take her dog to another vet the very next day which she did. The new vet took one look and booked the dog in to get the eye removed then and there. The result was a one-eyed but painfree and happy dog who lived several more years and passed away 2 years ago at the grand age of 18. She now has another dog - a rescue.

My friend estimated that the first vet had fleeced her for £4000 (about $6000). She did report that vet to the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) who oversee vets but I don't know what happened after that. Shows that some vets are unscrupulous while others are kind, caring and put the animals in their care and their owners first before profit.

So hoping for a good outcome for your cat.

I'm thinking she's eaten something she shouldn't have or come in contact with something. Is she an indoor cat only or an outdoor/indoor cat?

Its possible, she is an indoor only cat, I have just seen feathers from her toy behind the couch, so maybe that's the problem

That is awful! Hopefully some action can be taken against them!

This happened about 6 years ago. My friend never did find out if the vet in question was reprimanded or struck off. She's still with the new vet who is very good.

I'm always wary about these toys with feathers. Had one some time ago. Lucky, one of my black cats (and the most intelligent of all my cats - I swear he is a human in a fur coat with 4 legs and whiskers) took less than a minute to pull the feathers off. I managed to grab them out of his mouth. The toy was immediately disposed of. I prefer the laser dots - and my cats do too. They will chase the dot for ages. We have a lot of cats so we have 2 laser toys. My son gets some of the cats to run up and down the stairs chasing it while I stay downstairs getting the others to chase my one. I'm not sure who has the most fun - the cats or us watching them.

I would think feathers from a toy would show up on xrays.

Where do you think?

Feathers are a big nono in my house. I always cut them off before giving my cats a toy. So are mouse tails.

Once though a friend came over and without my knowledge gave Kabby a little bird toy with dyed feathers, he instantly ate them. Luckily he threw them back up a few hours later.

I'm still friends with the person but we have an understanding that any toys have to be checked before giving them to the cats.

Thanks for the response everyone. I will be disposing of all of these dangerous toys NOW! Its sad to see these can be sold while they can be so dangerous!

A quick update

Last night while my kitty was on the drip, I picked her up at the end and the vet gave me 3 options.

Before I get to the options I was given, I also did blood tests on her.

They showed elevated kidney levels.

Option 1:

Urgently take her to ER for another drip and to have xray scans and ultrasounds.

Option 2:

Take her home for the night and come back tomorrow for the above things.

Option 3:

Euthanize her.

The vet explained that in either option 1 or 2, she might not make it through the night.

MY WORLD SANK.

I sat in my car and called my mum, I have never cried so much in my life. I couldn't do it. I thought that was it.

I decided to take her home. Not slept, took care of her, cuddles, plenty of water, force feeding. In absolute bits to see her this way.

Took her back to the vet this morning, for another drip with additional supplements to boost her up. Also opted in for the xray and ultrasound.

Just made a call, and all tests seem fine. No blockages, all organs working okay. No infections on her mammary glands...

The vets are baffled by what it can be.
So they are currently waiting for advice from a specialist...

I'm no expert but I think she may have ingested something poisonous but whatever the poison was has left her system but affected her kidneys hence the elevated levels. Could she have licked antifreeze? Do you have lilies of any kind in your house? Aloe Vera plant? If she has licked poison (Xylitol in toothpaste is also a poison at least to dogs and probably cats too) then that would cause acute kidney failure which a cat can recover from given time unlike the chronic type which many older cats get for which there is no cure.

I'm really scratching my head on this one.

Hi. There was no poisonous substances left around the house. But from was happened it does seem like acute kidney failure, I'll explain more below

Hi.

Sadly my beautiful girl was laid to rest.

Her levels didn't improve with her kidneys, and towards the end her potassium and calcium levels shot right up. From these levels it did indicate an issue with the kidneys as the vet said.

I got a call whilst I was driving to pick her up, her heart rate went to 240bpm, she was given drugs to attempt to decrease the bpm, however they failed.

In the end we never found out was it was, because all tests came back normal, besides the blood. I'm sure if we had more time we could have done more. Before administering drugs for the hypercalcemia, they decided to hold it off as her potassium was too high and it could have caused bigger implications.

Only 13 months old, my poor baby.
Rest in peace my darling, daddy loves you

I am so, so sorry to read this. You did everything which you could, which I realize is not of any great comfort now. It is very hard to lose a young cat; I have been there and my thoughts are with you.
