I was told by my Vet to bring my 3 month old Kitten back for shots every 3 weeks until he is 6 months old. As this is my first Kitten (FVR-CP-Kitten booster)I dont know if the Vet is taking advantage of me. I would appreciate any guidance.
Thanks
Sandy

Okay, here is the "normal" shot schedule. Do not vaccinate before 8 weeks. Anything before then is almost useless.
If the cat is going to be outdoors the only extra vaccine that is needed is the feline leukemia.

8 weeks
feline distemper
deworm
feline leukemia (if needed)

12 weeks
feline distemper
deworm
rabies
feline leukemia (if needed)

16 weeks
feline distemper

Please do not let your vet vaccinate for FIP it usually causes it and does nothing to prevent it. Then you would take kitty back the next year when rabies is due and give the distemper, rabies and feline leukemia if needed. Vets will try and get one over on you. Then all they are doing is over vaccinating your pet. If this is the case. Please find another vet!!!
