No it's not a blood clot. I told them that one vet think it's a brain tumor and she had 4 seizures under 24 hours last month. They said if there is a tumor it could have grown and impacted her mobility. Is that true? They aren't a specialist.

I may have to let her go so she won't live like this on Monday. She was mostly laying on her side especially when she eats. She starting to look miserable. When I give her cuddles she doesn't purr
Maybe she does have a brain tumor 😭😭😭

While this is completely unfair to even have to consider, humans and animals can have more than one serious condition at a time. You have worked so hard to help your cat and I know that this is heartbreaking. Brain tumors are classified into very many kinds, which makes this more complicated. CNS involvement with a brain tumor may cause paralysis along with other symptoms and many of these can overlap with a vestibular condition. In general, a brain tumor will cause problems or paralysis depending on the part of the brain in which it is located and what that part of the brain controls. Diagnosis becomes very difficult but a sudden loss of rear leg mobility is also a classic sign of a saddle thrombus which is why others expressed concern about it.

Are you able to contact a vet over the weekend, even by phone, to update them about what is going on?

No they are closed. Sometimes this er vet can do a sucky job. It happen before last year when my cat had a uti. The medication they gave her made her sick. I felt they gave her to much dosage.
It's the closest er though and my aunt is in town so she was my ride.

I hate that I'm going through these ordeals with my cat on the weekend. It's like makes it hard on me since I am unable to drive.

How should I help her go bathroom? I am struggling helping her. She ended up going on the floor and dragged herself back to my room. I had to give her a wipe bath. I think she's miserable

I may or may not be picturing this correctly, so excuse me if some of this is not helpful. Can she be brought to the litter box and helped to stand in it, even if you are supporting her entirely? If she becomes messy, she will need to be wiped clean with some kind of safe wipe or cloth. I had a diabetic cat who developed neuropathy and could not access any litter box, even altered. I placed her on doggy pee pads and she would relieve herself and I would then remove the soiled one and put a clean one. You might try towels or cloths of some kind, on a hard or protected surface. It might mean doing some laundry but will prevent you from having to leave the house.

If you can confine her to an area where she can relieve herself without making things more stressful for her, that might help. In your case, I would say that putting her in a room or leaving her alone would not be a good idea and it is better if you can deal with some mess but keep her calm and comfortable.

If you have any plastic, including trash bags under towels, that will help protect carpeting if your place has a lot of it. Careful not to slip on the bag as it will slide across carpeting.

I was trying to help her but she didn't get to use the litter. It was middle of the night so I thought maybe not yet. I went back to sleep and saw her dragging on the floor 😔
I am restless so I'm doing my best and sometimes she won't let me help her.

They think It could be a bad case of vestibular disease or a brain tumor. But honestly no idea. I think it may be a brain tumor since I see her fall to right side a lot. I notice her wincing her eyes like an almost blink . Wish I knew. She's on predisilone so I was hoping if it's a possible tumor that it could shrink it.
I did got to see a specialist last week but MRI and cat scan not enough.

I was hoping this synchrony home would be taken by vets but realized only in home stores 😞

I am not sure what synchrony home is. Did the specialist do any tests?

For the bathroom issues the wee pads are very helpful. You can just put her on top of it when she has to go and help her to stand up and just wipe her off after. If she is still trying to get in the litter box, you could try one of those boxes that is open in the front because it makes it easier, but it sounds like she needs you to help her now and just putting her on top of a wee pad is the easiest way to deal with it.

You can get them anywhere like Walmart, Costco, etc. They’re called dog training pads if you’re not familiar with them. If you can’t get out to get some right now, you could try using just some paper towel on a plastic garbage bag.
If you have area carpets, I would roll them up and put them away for now because it’s going to be harder to clean up any accidents from carpet rather than a floor.

did a ear depth check, blood check. Looked at eyes . But ear is definitely clean but no idea on her brain since I didn't had enough for the scan. He was telling me different kind of brain tumors and how it could possibly affect her vestibular. But can't much because of cost.

It's impossible because I can't always get back and forth even if I could afford chemo or not.

No idea if my cat would make it though. She's in this state 😔

I guess it could be the tumor I mentioned which is benign, but it has been very slow growing. Also, the fact that she’s getting worse now would suggest that maybe. But we can’t know for sure because there could be other issues going on that we don’t even know about. it’s very sad. I mean, I guess it’s probably going to be the end soon for her, I hope not, so you just have to do everything that you can keep her comfortable. Etc. these decisions are always so hard to make.

So, I guess based on the assessment of her ears, they did not want to try another antibiotic? Did they say they think it’s a brain tumor then? Or they’re just not sure? I assume the blood work was good. I am wondering with everything that happened with my Merlin if it could be a parasite- did they say anything about that?

I totally get where you are with the treatment and getting her there for treatment, etc. For that tumor I think they just do surgery or radiation treatment. 🤗

Think she is having a focal seizure. Since she usually runs now she's just shaking a bit since she can't move well.

I thought if I needed to spend her off to the rainbow Bridge but er vet said creamation would be 315 . I hate to see her suffer. I want to be able to keep her remains in a pretty nice jar

It would be less expensive at a normal dvm but that seems high even at an er. You can get an urn yourself later though. Most places let you do that. I found a place near me that does private cremation with viewing and ashes in a tin for $150 or so. They are the least expensive option near me. But you still have to pay for the euthanasia etc.

I'm having problems trying to get my cat to pee. She is having difficulties because of her back legs. I put a piddle pad next to litter box .
