No. I read up on it. It seems that it's 3-6 months. So far since this happen end of April I see no signs of pain. I wonder if it's ataxia is it called.
It seems if it were a tumor there would be more signs by now maybe. I have never had a cat who had a possible brain tumor so I’m not sure.

Is there such thing as a severe idopothic vestibular disorder if there is no known cause then?

I have never heard of that but anything can be called idiopathic. What that really means though is that they just don’t know what’s causing it.

Hi. Brain tumors can be slow growing and as far as I know, not operable in cats. Truthfully I have seen 4 brain tumors that were removed when I worked specialty where there was a neurologist. None survived. This was around 15 years ago, so maybe the outcomes have improved.
But, since a brain tumor has not been diagnosed, we really can’t assume that’s what it is. I do know of many general practice veterinarians that use “ brain tumor” to diagnose any neurological cat.
I may have asked this but had a Cryptococcus titer been done?
can you post the most recent bloodwork?
Doex she only circle or tilt her head in one direction? Like always to the right or left?
When you look at her eyes are her pupils the same size? Do her eyes seem to uncontrollably move side to side or up to down?
Can she see and hear?

I haven't yet. Her pupils are normal. There is just a head tilt. I will get a blood work hopefully by next week. She will need her liver check since it was a bit okay

Here is more on brain tumors. If it is a primary meningioama there is better longevity survival now but they would need surgery, and prolly radiation. Keep in mind that survival means however long they survive after the treatment not that they’re going to live another 10 years or whatever. Because the tumor can always return, it would be probably a miracle case for a complete cure or maybe a benign tumor.

Yes, some cats have survived brain tumors, but the prognosis depends on several factors:
  • Tumor type
Cats with meningiomas, which are considered benign and slow-growing, generally have good survival rates. In one study, 71% of cats with meningiomas were alive six months after surgery, 66% were alive one year after, and 50% were alive two years after. Another study found that the median survival time for cats with meningiomas who had surgery was 22.8 to 37 months, with a 50% survival rate at two years. However, cats with secondary brain tumors usually don't survive more than a month.
  • Surgery
If the tumor is surgically removed without complications, cats with primary brain tumors may survive 28 to 54 months. However, one study found that 16 out of 121 cats who had surgery for brain meningioma died shortly after the operation due to complications.
  • Cat's age and health
Cats that are younger and healthier when caught early may have a better outcome. Older or unhealthy cats may not recover as well.
  • Other treatments
Radiation therapy can help shrink brain tumors, but it rarely destroys them completely. Remission times are usually 8 to 14 months before the cancer returns. Radiation therapy can also cause side effects like nausea, mouth ulcers, ear infections, and rarely blindness, but most of these can be managed with medication

This information, if it’s accurate, suggests that your cat does not have a secondary brain tumor because they only survive about a month. Of course we can’t know for sure, but again she hasn’t had any test that proves that she even has any tumor.

Since she is 17. I have no idea how long she could last. Her liver may get bad because of her seizure meds.

I have to see a specialist and they are in big cities and I have no way to get there. Because of my anxiety I can't take ubers or lyfts because i don't want to get SA 😔 I live in Texas.
Maybe it's just a bad case of vestibular that was caused by the antibiotic shot.

She didn't had this problem until she took the antibiotic shot, the liquid and pill was giving her a bad reaction.

One vet just told me that as long as my cat is indoors she shouldn't have that fungus infection and there were no other symptoms of upper respiratory

my cat can't use her back legs anymore. There is still no signs of pain and still an appetite. I have to assist her now.
Can vestibular cause paralyzed legs or is it because of her lack of balance?
