I've been looking at a lot of random cats lately to get an idea of the types of cats that exist and check to see if there are new mutations that haven't been discovered yet.

I've seen a lot of these weird, vacant kittens.

Are they vision-impaired?

They just seem to be lightly startled or with odd lighting. I have taken similar pictures of my cats, and they have perfectly healthy eyes.

My cat looks pretty wall-eyed sometimes if I take a picture straight on with flash. He can see fine though!

It is almost certainly a combination of the flash and the fact that those kittens are NOT accustomed to cameras at all.

If you are interested in unusual kittens, take a look at the Lykoi breed. They look like little werewolves, and are one of the few pure breed cats that I kinda hanker over. I'll never have one while there are kittens and cats in shelters, but LORD, they're cute!

Oh, they're quite soft to the touch. I got to meet one. NO WAY I could ever afford it, and I'm firmly in the "Adopt, Don't Shop" corner...but SO CUTE!
