Update on cat not sleeping with me

I've tried all the tricks but nothing seems to work... I go to bed and he jumps on the bed and makes a lot of noise and even nips at me. Clearly he does not want me to be in that bed so the end result is that I still have to close my bedroom door. However, I've purchased a very comfy cat bed and he sleeps in that outside my door.

Have you tried putting the cat bed on your bed? Maybe that would be a compromise for him.
