Ukrainians Face New Hurdle at U.S. Border: No Dogs.

Apparently Ukraine is considered a high risk country for rabies therefore the US is not allowing dogs from that country to enter with their owners. The article doesn't say if the ban also applies to cats.

I think there’s a difference between them. 5 years ago I was bringing kittens from other country and we did all necessary paperwork. Once in Newark, they would not even look at the paperwork to be honest they didn’t even look at the kitties. There explanation was that it doesn’t matter if it was the dog it would be a different story. So, I’m guessing that there is a difference .
